Birthday Baker's Dozen: Eleventh Serving - Murgh Akbari at Shiva

According to the interwebs, various dishes claim the title murgh  akbari, which is not terribly surprising considering the name  simply means,  'chicken prepared in the Akbari style', i.e. according to a method originating during the reign of the Emperor Akbar over what is now Uttar Pradesh, India.

The veracity of the connection between many of these entrees and the time period for which they are named is tenuous; however, I know this much is true. The Murgh Akbari at Shiva by any other name would still be amazing.

Why? Because it is Friday and my brain is fried, I'm going to quote myself:

"Let's start with the chicken itself, amazingly tender, juicy, and sufficiently flavorful so as not even to require sauce (more on that later).  Then, there's what's inside this tender breast: a creamy mixture of cottage cheese speckled with raisins and almonds. It provides a varied mouthfeel, thanks to the inclusions of soft dairy elements and nuts, and a sweetness that deliciously diverges from the rich savory sauce fragrant with saffron, garam masala, and cardamon."

Need I plagiarize myself more? Pair with basmati rice and Netflix bingeing.
